1 June - 14 June 2026

With Acharya Dr. Tanmay Goswami

Vrindavan retreat collage

I feel deeply fortunate to be connected with true living Masters and wisdom keepers alive at this critical moment in time. One of them is Acharya Dr. Tanmay Goswami.

This retreat brings together three powerful ways to heal the body, mind, and spirit, rarely experienced together:

  • Classical Panchakarma purification
  • Vedic teachings and spiritual cosmology
  • Pilgrimage to some of the holiest sites in India

Over two weeks, we will undergo a medically supervised Panchakarma immersion alongside Vedic lectures, pilgrimage to sacred sites, daily yoga and pranayama, and traditional rites and rituals, all held at Atreya Ayurveda Ashram with Acharya Dr. Tanmay Goswami.

A rare opportunity to experience this work in sacred Vrindavan, India.

Panchakarma is a traditional Ayurvedic cleansing and rejuvenation process that supports healing of the body, mind, and consciousness. Based on the Ayurvedic understanding of the three doshas, Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, it works to restore each person's unique energetic balance. Through individualized therapies that include preparation, detoxification, and purification, Panchakarma helps remove accumulated toxins and reestablish natural harmony in the system.

About the Retreat

This is not a spa retreat. But you will receive daily Ayurvedic treatments exceeding any luxury spa.

This is not sightseeing travel. But you will see sights you couldn't have dreamed of.

This is an immersion into ancient, classical Ayurveda within its living Vedic context.

For two weeks you will:

  • Undergo authentic, physician-supervised Panchakarma treatments
  • Study Ayurveda and Vedic philosophy through evening lectures
  • Practice daily yoga and pranayama aligned with detox
  • Walk sacred pilgrimage routes in Govardhan, Vrindavan and Barsana
  • Participate in ancient Vedic ceremonies
  • Receive optional Jyotish (Vedic astrology) readings
  • Experience purification of body, mind, and orientation to life

Diagnosis and assessment

Diagnosis and Assessment

Your Panchakarma experience begins with careful evaluation. One does not need to have developed symptoms of disease for the body to be out of balance. Panchakarma not only systematically addresses manifested conditions, but also heals the body so that disease does not manifest at the physical level.

Each participant undergoes a detailed diagnostic process before any therapies are prescribed. Dr. Goswami explains your condition, the reasoning behind your treatment plan, how to prepare your body, and what to expect during each stage.

You receive a structured schedule, and your progress is monitored throughout. Adjustments are made as needed.

Diagnosis may include:

  • Nadi Pareeksha (pulse diagnosis)
  • Classical evaluation through observation, touch, and inquiry
  • Jyotish analysis using Vedic astrology to understand constitutional tendencies and long-term patterns
  • Clinical consultation
  • Pre-treatment physical examination
  • Blood investigations
  • Body scans when indicated
  • Review of prior medical reports

After Panchakarma, examinations may be repeated to observe measurable changes.

Classical Panchakarma

The Heart of the Journey: Classical Panchakarma

After careful diagnosis, your individualized protocol begins.

Panchakarma follows a precise sequence designed to detoxify, strengthen, and rebalance the entire system.

Most days include multiple therapies. Your program may include:

  • Daily Abhyanga, warm herbal oil massage
  • Internal oleation with medicated ghee
  • Swedana, herbal steam therapy
  • Shirodhara, a steady stream of warm oil on the forehead to regulate the nervous system
  • Nasya, herbal oils administered through the nasal passages
  • Basti therapies, medicated herbal enemas used to regulate the colon and nervous system
  • Virechana, a supervised herbal purgation to clear excess heat and toxins
  • Personalized herbal formulations
  • Constitution-specific therapeutic diet
  • Yoga therapy aligned with your treatment plan

You will receive treatments every day based on your diagnosis. Some days are filled with invigorating, deeply restorative procedures. Others will be more vigorous purification processes. Everything follows a clear medical sequence and is adjusted as your body responds. This is the ultimate two weeks to give yourself.

By the end of two weeks, people often notice:

  • More energy
  • Deeper sleep
  • A calmer nervous system
  • Improved digestion
  • Less inflammation
  • Improvements based on diagnosis
  • A general feeling of lightness and vitality
